Do not permit children to define themselves by limitation; every ‘I can’t’ becomes a lesson in possibility
Lovingly explain the ‘why’ behind every request and correction. Do not rely on raised voices or demanded authority, for true leadership requires neither.
Limit buying fun — create it. Children need little beyond our presence
Children absorb what they observe; we are mindful of every word, action, and message they are exposed to. This includes common entertainment
Limit technology and curate content intentionally. Media is educational, emotionally neutral, and never replaces lived experience — children are the heroes of their own lives, not spectators of others. Emotional development is learned through lived experience, limit entertainment.
Teach children to be mindful of others and act with consideration.
Encourage and reward leadership
Be mindful of speaking about young children in their presence; public commentary can diminish confidence, constrain personality, and foster unnecessary self-consciousness
